Previously a partner at GVA Grimley and head of the national Automotive and Roadside team, Amanda has over 25 years' experience in the highly specialised retail petroleum, automotive and roadside sectors throughout the country. Amanda's specialist areas include:
- Property investment and funding
- Expert witness and litigation support involving property and business issues
- Complex landlord and tenant cases
- Development feasibility & funding
- Sector research and analysis
Over the last 25 years, Amanda has developed a diverse range of services and skills, relating primarily to specialist property in the automotive, retail petroleum and roadside development sectors. These skills range from acquisitions, disposals, and lettings, through to Landlord & Tenant Act matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals and advising in respect of lease terms. She is a member of the President of the RICS Panel of Independent Experts and Arbitrators, and a member of the RICS Trade Related Valuation Committee and was Chairman of an RICS Working Party tasked with drafting the Guidance Notes and the Information Paper for the valuation of petrol filling stations.
Amanda's experience in the retail petroleum, automotive and roadside sectors, working on behalf of oil companies, independent petrol retailers, institutions, property companies and private individuals, has enabled her to be fully conversant with the issues that influence the market, both from the owner-occupier and investor perspective.
Amanda has provided rent review advice to British Land in respect of superstore petrol filling stations nationwide. Tenants include Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda and Safeway.
Amanda advised Gatwick Airport Limited in respect of the letting potential of the petrol filling stations at each of the terminals at Gatwick Airport, in advance of expiration of leases to Texaco Limited. She was subsequently instructed to market the properties for letting which was successfully undertaken to BP Oil.
